Are there any problems with macks MP7 or MP8?
I was hoping to get some good opions on macks mp7 and mp8 reliabilty..I currently own 3, 04 cv713 with the 427 and have had very few problems had to do the cam and lifters on one and thats it other than that pretty reliable. I also have a 06 ct713 with the aset and have had no problems so far.
Can a 2013 Mack garbage truck run on MP7?
At the nysdot all the newer macks have got the mp7 and they rarely have downtime i drove a 2013 mack garbage truck with minimum issues and that thing got BEAT. Only real issue i had with her was the def or fuel was geling

Why is my Mack tractor doing a Regen?
There’s an ’08 Pinnacle tractor at work with an MP7 that’s had a lot of shop time recently. Coolant was getting into the emmisions system and the truck was doing a regen every few hundred miles. The reason for the excessive downtime was that Mack couldn’t find the problem after throwing thousands of dollars worth of parts at it (under warranty).

Where is the fuel cap on A MP8?
The inlet of the davco filter has a check valve remove and inspect, make sure the spring and check ball are not damaged or blocked open with debris. There is a plastic cap right behind the hand primer pump, when you are using the hand pump is there a collection of fuel/wet around the cap?

Most engines try to not do any work for fuel mileage. This one appears to be 500+ horses and 1850 torque you can have on hand all day long in any gear depending on where you are on the RPM gauge. I would not mind giving this one a go.
