Why is my power window not working on my Chevy Silverado?
As some have said, there were broken wires in the rubber boot between the cab and the door. In my case, the red and white power wire from the fuse panel to the door switch was broken. I also solved my ‘power door lock not working in the drivers door’ issue…..it too was a broken wire inside the rubber boot.
Why does my driver side door lock not work?
The windows and the locks are on two separate circuits. The only part that these two have in common is the master switch. Of course it is also possible that the wiring harness between the driver side door and cowl is corroded and that some of the pins are to corroded or even broken off and do not make contact.

However, today, when the truck will crank and start, the antitheft icon goes off after a few seconds with the key on and stays off while the truck is running. It never flashed either today or yesterday though. And I don’t know if the antitheft system disables cranking or starting or both.

I have a 2004 chevrolet silverado 1500. I was going down the road and noticed the gauges had quit working except spedometer and tach. Then I noticed windows, door locks and radio quit working. The battery light, abs,and a car with a lock symbol was on.
What to do when your power door won’t unlock?
The only way to get into the truck is using the actual key. The power locks will lock just fine. When I press any unlock button, there is a clicking near/in the interior fuse box. There is no power going to any of the locks when I try to unlock them. All unlock fuses have no power when I check them with the test light.
