Ok, you probably have Maxxforce DT,9 or 10 series. Unscrew oil filter 3 or 4 turns so it’s completed unseated. Have some start up truck while you watch. Yeah it will be a mess but you will sure as hell know you have oil pressure and then you can be done with this and no for sure.

I know if it is a epa10 and you block off the cross over tube on the back side of the engine it will cause the exhaust back pressure to go to high into like 60 psi or so and the engine will cut back fuel to the injectors. Fuel transfer pump leaks at the shaft into the crankcase. Serviced our one ’11 IC DT today and the oil level was right on the money beforehand and the fuel filter appeared normal….. an amber color….. for 6K miles.
