Is there steering wheel lock on Silverado Silverado?
Ok and now a more real answer the steering wheel locks via a mechanism in the steering column. It is a replaceable part, but a pain to do so. I don’t think that the 05 came with a steering wheel lock! I am pretty sure that they stopped putting them in sometime around 2002, my 05 yukon xl does not have one, either did my 02 silverado
When to put the steering wheel in lock position?

I guess that they felt no need for that security feature and they saved a boat load of money not putting them in. You know I am not sure if the wheel locked before.

Is there an 8 pin steering wheel sensor?
The wiring harness on my truck has room for the 8 pin sensor but only has the 6 wires coming out. Would I be able to use this new sensor with 8 pins or would it still throw a code since 2 of the pins wouldn’t be connected to any wire.
