Probably P0087. Check the fuel hoses at the side of the trans– they can get kinked, weak and collapse. I’ve just experienced a very similar situation with my 2005 2500HD. After driving about 2 hours, over varying terrain, I had to stop at a light (not the first on the trip).

Why does my Duramax diesel engine keep overheating?
I and 3 friends with duramax diesels are having same issues. The top radiator hose is collapsing ,preventing flow of coolant to engine. Replacing hose seems to fix problem for a while but need to figure out why the hose is collapsing when engine is under heavy load ,pulling trailer up long grades.
What happens when engine gets up to temp?
Truck runs great cold when it gets up to temp the power decreases greatly. new fuel pump, new fuel filter, new air filter has been hooked up to two different computers and it’s showing no codes at all. New muffler and dual pipes,the old ones were bad. im at a loss and so are my mechanics
