How can I bypass the PassLock system on my GMC Suburban?
Ive recently become victim of the passlock system on my 99 gmc suburban 1500 4×4. I want to bypass this security system all together. After some research and studying the wiring diagrams it seems plausible that you could cut the fuel pump relay wire and run it directly into the “hot when on or start” part of the ignition.

The previous owners didn’t give us any remote or anything So I recently had this no start issue which I worked on for a while but eventually had to get it to a shop.

With the relearn it doesnt matter if the new wire connections make more/ less resistance because the relearn saves the new resistance value. WCS you will need to replace the ignition lock and cylinder but that was about $120 on the n-body’s / saturns but the column switch shouldnt be too far off.
Why does my GMC 99 suburban not start?
I have a 99 suburban that will occationally not start due to the factory security system. The dealership said they’ll need to replace the ignition switch, key, and a couple of other things (not the security module though according to the computer) to make it work.

I have a 1999 chevy suburban 1500 and it was doing the whole cut off the fuel trick. The trick to it is when you put the key in only turn on to auxilary lights on the dash, the security light should be on but NOT blinking. Should start up with no problem.
