What to do if your speedometer stops working?
My speedometer hasn’t worked for probably 2 years. The dealer wanted over $500 to fix. I found the stepper motors on e-bay and purchased replacement lights as well. It takes a good soldering iron and a solder sucker tool you can buy at Radio Shack.

If you were to get a Escalade Dash Cluster,which has the Transmission Temp gauge.The only item that needs to be done, is to have the Mileage programmed into the Escalade Cluster……the 99′ and up NBS Siverado’s/Sierra’s Were-n-Are Already Pre-Wired from the Factory for the Trans Temp Gauge.
Is the tachometer on my GMC truck working?
Over last weekend, I was able to verify that the tachometer in my cluster is in fact working. I have a friend with a 1999 GMC, he came over and I put my cluster in his truck. The tachometer worked fine. Still does nothing when installed in my truck. So, my question is, what else do I need to look at?

Look for spliced wires at the PCM connectors and at the cluster plug. I finally had a chance to dig into this issue. Under the hood, I pulled the fuse panel cover and shroud then lifted up the fuse block. This is what I found…
What should I do if my gauges quit working?
The alt wasn’t charging. No tac and no speedometer. The Lights work fine, The odometer is still rollin over, cruise control works, Gear selection indicator read out works fine.. Any ideas? I haven’t dug too far yet, I didn’t have time today (monday) but I have Tuesday off so i was gonna start snooping around.
Why are my mph and 5 gauges not working?
Had the exact same problem, my mph gauge would say no data and 5 gauges were not working, the needles on 5 gauges would swipe like whipers and there were red lights staying on. Just tighten up the harness coming out from the computer, or clean the pins/connector up. Make sure it has no dirt and it should work.
