Where is the hot air vent on a GMC Truck?

It’s underneath the passenger dash, where your feet go. Take off that black kick panel thing, and it will be right there. The passenger side does whatever the HVAC panel tells it to, but yes, when both sides are set to cold, the driver’s side is HOT, the passenger’s side is COLD. Anyone have a write up on this ?

Why are the drivers side vents blowing hot air?

Got in the truck tonight and the driver’s side vents are blowing HOT. doesn’t matter if it’s in VENT, A/C or where it blowing up/down/mixed, all I get is HOT. Passenger side works as advertised. Any ideas where to start?:hmm:

Pull the HVAC 1 fuse (panel on the drivers side of the dash, top front fuse). Turn the ignition key to run. Leave the key on for at least 1 minute. Turn the key off and put the fuse back in. Just the info I was looking for !!

Click to expand… Give this a try before you starting taking the dash out and buying parts. Same thing has happened to me a few times in the past. Usually just the passengers side.
