What to do if your vacuum booster is not working?
Disconnect the vacuum booster supply hose and check for source vacuum with a gauge. If the reading is low, check to see if the vacuum hose is kinked, clogged or cracked. If the hose is not at fault, suspect an engine mechanical problem such as leaky valves, worn rings, an intake manifold vacuum leak, improper cam timing, etc.

Can a power brake booster be connected to a PCV valve?
Yes, that additional front port can be used too. Even though they’re two separate ports, they’re connected to the intake manifold plenum (main vacuum source). What you want to avoid doing; is connecting the PCV valve & power brake booster to the same hose with a T-fitting (one vacuum source actuating two components). The 2nd one I found.

I have a Holley 650 or 670 (somewhere around there) and the previous owner jammed a screw into the power brake vacuum port on the carburetor because it didn’t have power brakes. I’m upgrading to power brakes right now and need now need to use the vacuum port on the carb.
