2 people found this helpful. I have an 06 chevy 2500 hd crew cab and the rpms are running under 1500 when going 50 mph or lower I’m having that problem but my truck runs fine except for the rpm sticking on 6 rpm it goes down when I turn off and on the truck repeatedly, any suggestions

When you put transmission fluid in and it’s low, after you run the engine with it in gear it can pump a bunch of air out of the system and then you are low again. Try filling it, running it and putting it in various gears to drive air out, then filling it again.

Why does my Silverado Sierra have high idle?

Cleaned the throttle body and went to put it back on and start it with out the intake attached to the throttle body. It idled funny so I shut it off.
