Why does my 06 Rubi sputter in reverse?
Bret’s 06 Rubi is doing this now. Sometimes it’s fine, other’s it sputters in reverse even at very slow speeds. Brake levers are all the way forward, so I’m guessing it’s something to do with the reverse switch. Where is it and can it be cleaned or is it a replace only item.

What to do if your car is cutting out in reverse?
First thing to check is to make sure the front (right) brake lever is returning all the way and shutting the start in gear switch off. Second would be the reverse switch on the side of the shifter. Like toodeep said, make sure the front right brake lever isnt sticking because there is a safety switch on it.
