Why does my Acadia stop blowing cold air?
Oddly enough, my wife’s 2014 Acadia started doing this exact thing this week. Went left the house and within a block the a/c died. Came back home, shut off the engine and the fans were on full blast after the engine shut down. We gave it a few seconds, started it back up, and everything worked.
Where did the temperature drop on my Acadia?
My 2017 Acadia started doing it last week while on vacation in Florida. Did it on our way back. Drove from Ft Walton Beach to like 5 miles to Kentucky and needle dropped all the way down. Pulled over at the Kentucky welcome center rest stop to shut the car off. Popped the hood, everything was cool to the touch after like 9 hours of driving.
When does the a / C stop blowing cold air?
Drove it around for about 10 mins and the car stayed at 210 on the gauge (as it should) and the a/c worked fine. This lasted for 2 days and then it went back to dropping the water temp, killing the a/c.
Why does my AC blow cold then blow warm?
The moisture can freeze into ice crystals right at the orifice tube or expansion valve, clogging it and stopping the flow. The symptom appears as: blows cold, then warm. If you shut off turn on the heat for a while, that’ll melt the ice crystals and the system will start cooling again. But it will still freeze up.
What’s the temp on my GMC Acadia?
It doesn’t do it every time, but it’s becoming more frequent. When it happens, my engine temperature gauge is also not working. Just drops to 160, but when it does register a temp it’s a perfect 210. I’ve only had my Acadia 3 months, should not be having issues already!
Why does the AC flash on my GMC Acadia?
My GMC Acadia ac will flash three times and went off when I tried to turn the AC on. Well, I just put freon and it’s fine now. Bought a can from Walmart and did it myself. Make sure to have the one with the gauge to ensure proper charging.

What is the Check Engine light on a GMC Acadia?
The AC light will flash 3x, then the temp gauge drops down to the lowest point. In addition, the check engine light is solid orange and the fan (engine fan, I think?) runs constantly. Yesterday, it hesitated to start and sputtered a few times. Today we have it being serviced at the dealer. I will update when we hear from the service dept.
