Why is my dash light flickering on my Silverado Sierra?
Ok – sent the cluster out to be rebuilt and drove the truck without the cluster in it. Hit a bump and the cruise stopped working and the radio & clock died. So I’m thinking it must be the ground issue that affects all.
Why is my GMC Duramax instrument cluster not working?
There are 2 pins with 12v to the cluster, but no “spin” of stepper motors, when the key is in the on position no battery light, no seatbelt light, the bright light indicator doesnt come on. No obvious damage, no bent pins, no resistor or led wires touching.
Why are my dash gauges flickering all the time?
The truck starts fine – no issue, starts right up every time. Issues… The gauges: work sometimes, and other times they don’t…and not all at the same time. Banging on the dash doesn’t help, wiggling the battery cables doesn’t help (new battery), tilting the up and down doesn’t help.
Why is my ECM not working on my Duramax?
Possible that when you were unplugging it/plugging it in, you pushed one of the wires out and now the female pin isn’t making contact with the male pin. Heard of this happening to people installing DSP switches on the ECM plug. Wires get pushed out and things go batshit.

Why are all the gauges on my GM Truck not working?
Last night I was comin home from the store and realized my speedometer wasn’t working (ins’t the first time) so i hit the dash, then realized NONE of the gauges were working.. Gas gauge, almost empty. Water temp, cold. No oil pressure. The alt wasn’t charging. No tac and no speedometer.

Yah, it is the common problem with 2003-2006 trucks. The instrument clusters are bad in them. There are a bunch of outfits that will refurbish and warrant them for a little over $100. I would contact them with your symptoms and let them (or another outfit) tell you if they can help you out.
Why is the odometer not working on my Chevy truck?
All the gauges (minus the broken speedometer) spike high to low. Sometimes the odometer/message center will work, but not display the correct mileage when it does work. My main battery was dead today. I noticed that the odometer display was still on when I turned the truck off; it was just a few bars of color on the display.
