Why is my Duramax not shifting out of 2nd gear?
Hey guy my name is john I have a 2001 2500hd duramax and it seems to me it’s not shifting out of either second or 3rd and the shift indicator lights work perfect but staying stuck in either 2 nd or 3rd gear any help would be so greatly appreciated 04LLYDMAX…. Did you ever figure out your problem?
Why is the Speedo not working on my Duramax?
Speedo isn’t working and the service Brake system light is on along with the parking brake indicator and the abs lamp. Still isn’t showing the gear indicator. What other speed sensors does this truck have?

What to do if your Allison Transmission wont shift?
Yes, its on the drivers side, not hard at all to change but not sure if thats what it is. maybe pull the pan and inspect, make sure the filter isnt off or loose. I’m no expert when it come to Allisons. The guys I know in Maryland had an issue like this and with a brand new harness from gm, it ended up being a broke wire.
