Do I need a fuse between AMP and battery?
If there is ever an issue with one of your amps, or your amp power cable shorts out, the results could be potentially catastrophic. That’s why it’s necessary to install an in-line fuse between the battery and the power cable, and it’s also why you should place that fuse at the battery instead of at the amp.
What fuse goes to the battery?

Where does the fuse go on a Newmar battery charger?
Worse yet, you actually had to do quite a bit of disassembly to get to the fuse. One screw removes the cover on the unit above. Some of the Newmar units use the same fuse type, and they just plug into a holder in plain site on the outside of the case.
