crank it as tight as you can, till it starts to loosen up, then back off a 1/4 turn :T: Snug is fine, if it pops off put it back on and tighten it more! I just put mine on snug (and dry too) and ive spiked over 45psi with it (and sustained 30psi for a while too) and mine havent fell off yet.
