How long is the sports physical good for?
Sports physicals are typically valid for one calendar year. However, it’s best to check with your child’s school or league, as some states require a sports physical to be completed before each sports season, even if they fall within the same school year.

Who can perform a sports physical?
In some cases, your child’s school will set aside time for a healthcare professional to conduct sports physicals on site. Sometimes a physician’s assistant or athletic trainer will assist with the exams. If possible, it’s best to have your child’s pediatrician or personal doctor complete the sports physical.
