What are the symptoms of a Chevy Colorado not starting?
Your symptoms should include cranking but not fire. Wait 10 minutes and it starts fine. Also the dash icon (truck with a padlock over it) is illuminated. took my 09 to the dealer today because of the same problem. they had no answer except maybe the starter switch but cant tell unless it happens while in their garage.

Why does my GMC Canyon not start up?
I have a simular problem. Tried to start my 06 Canyon, the dash lights came on when the key is truned to on, but when you trun the key to start the dash lights go out and the starter will not even try to rotate. Waited about an hour and tried it again still nothing. Three hours later it would start.

2005 Chevy Colorado, Regular cab , 2WD 3.5 L, the truck is lowered with a 4/5 canuck motorsports spring and blocks kit with DJM Cal-Max struts .. any help with either problem would be great .. thanks in advance everyone !!

What causes Chevy Colorado engine to turn over?
The next time it happened (the 3rd report to GM) I decided to try to swap the relay (earlier the 2nd Chevy dealer said it could be the Crank Position Sensor so I swapped it out- no help). Inside the relay housing I easily found the Fuel relay and next to it was the horn relay (exact duplicate).
Why does my Chevy Colorado have no start?
Thinking that the starter has a dead spot in it. It will go days to weeks with out the problem but when I’m in a hurry to get somewhere fast it does it. Gonna try the tap test on it next time to verify the dead space. If anyone else has advice it appreciate it. thank you.
