What causes the check gauge light to come on?

The oil light on the tach comes on with the alarm not the temp light. The engine doesn’t change at all when the alarm comes on. The light stays on and does not blink at all. Turn the key off and restart and the light stays off for exactly 1 minute 15 seconds then comes on again.

Chk guages means all gauges . Voltage /temp/oil/ etc etc . Anyone of the gages could cause that warning light . Make sure you havevthe proper voltage ,,that the temp Guage isnt too high or too cold . (Possibly not working ) . Look for random fluctuations in the gauges as well .could be an intermittent issue you just haven’t noticed .
What did the check gauge light come on on my Dodge Ram?
My 2004 5.7 Hemi Today the check gage light came on and the oil PSI fell down to zero when I turned a cornner. It was one quart low so I added one quart of oil and it seems fine now. Just sharing.
