In my experience, the rear wiper will not have any influence on whether a car will pass or fail its MOT. The front wipers/washers obviously need to be in good working order to get through.

They are listed as powering the rear window washer. Now go to the fuse block under the rear seat on the driver’s side. Check fuse #9, it’s listed as powering the wiper motor. Front and rear pumps are located on the front of the windshield wiper fluid reservoir. If you do hear the pump, go lift the liftgate and look for water at the latch.
