Where is the battery on a Triumph Speedmaster?
For whatever reason, Triumph decided to hang the battery off the left side of the America and Speedmaster models, instead of under the seat like the Bonneville (I suspect that helped make the seat lower?).
How do you remove seat Triumph America?
Locate the pull ring on the left side of the seat and pull it to release the seat from the fender bracket.

Where is the battery in a 2005 Pontiac Bonneville? It is under the back seat on the passenger side. There should be tabs/loops where the seat and the back meet that you can pull up and fold the seats up. You should be able to get to it by doing that.

I learned yesterday, from a neighbor, that certain brands of batteries only have a realistic lifespan of just 2 years. She keeps her battery on a tender, and she started it the first time in a while two weeks ago, and then a little later, it wouldn’t turn on at all.
What to do if your triumph battery dies?
The bike is kept on a battery tender and has always been charged up. I rode about 40 miles, shut the bike off for about 5 mins. and it started just fine. Another 8 miles or so, off and on again – no problem. 4 miles later, off and on again, started right up. 22 miles later, shut bike off, sat for 30 min. bike wouldn’t start.

There are 3 wires so you will take 3 readings, (wire 1 and 2, wire 1 and 3, and wire 2 and 3). You should have between 60 and 70 volts. Unfortunately, Triumph have not issued any method of testing the reg/rec other than replacing it with a known good one.
