Are there any steering wheel switches that work?
The right front side of steering wheel switches (cruise control) work fine. I checked the fuse associated with the horn (#42) and it is fine. Any other ideas?

Hard to believe that a 2014 would be out of warranty, yikes! I did a factory reset on the SYNC system. The problem fixed itself. My steering volume control buttons are working again. Weird! BTW, drove my car off the lot brand new on Jan. 9th of 2014, as of today 83,240mi. Warranty has been long gone.
Are there warning lights on the steering wheel?
The horn works and there are no warning lights for the airbag. I have found on ebay a chap who lives 5 miles from me that will run a diagnostics report with vcds for a tenner which I think is very reasonabl, but I don’t know if this will help prove anything other than “no power to steering wheel controls”, of which I already know.

The only problem I’m still stuck on is that the hands-free mic doesn’t pick up my voice. I’ve got it plugged into the jack all the way. I’ve got the mic on the dashboard, about 20″ from my mouth, directly in front of it.
