Why are the windows not working on my Chevy Colorado?
Trying to narrow down the possibilities. If all controls are not working it could be a power supply problem. If only one side of the truck is inop, it could be a ground issue. When the windows are not operating, do the door locks still function, using the switches?
What causes a GMC power window to move?
The passenger side switch is the probable cause. The driver’s side switch uses the relays in the passenger switch to operate the window and if this is defective a good driver’s side switch will not cause the window to move. Replacing the passenger side switch should fix the problem.

I took my 2016 Z71 CC in for the HVAC recall and mentioned how the driver side power window doesn’t always work (Since I read someone else was having the same problem on the forum) and the guy didn’t believe me!
Why is my window fuse not working on my Chevy Colorado?
Check the 30A PWR/WINDOW fuse and socket for possible corrosion. Maybe try using some contact cleaner and a new fuse. Make sure that the fuse fits tightly in the contacts. Still having problems with windows. Seems worse, probably cause of warmer temp.

What to do if your driver side window does not work?
Shut the truck off and start again. Put in gear and you should hear the door locks activate again and your driver side window should work again. If that doesn’t do the trick, unplug the black harness again (with the ignition off), spray wd40 into any connection that has corrosion and blow connection clean with air.
Can a GMC dealer fix a window switch problem?
Yes GMC customer service may chime in here and direct you to your local GMC dealer, that’s about all they will do for you here, besides saying that they are sorry to hear of your problem. It may take a little longer to do this, I already had the door panel apart to replace my speakers so I knew how to take it apart.
