Why does my rear passenger door not lock?
The Rear Passenger door will open and close just fine until you lock it. After you lock it, it will not unlock via normal methods. When you use the door switch or keyfob you can hear the locking mechanism react, but not quite loudly as it should. Using either door handle normally (interior, or exteior) will not work either.

@louis1 there are some sensor in the latch assembly that could register your access as being open. It’s a pretty involved task so try to reset your computer first. Disconnect the battery cable and for a few minutes keep holding the battery cables together.

Pry gently with a thin-bladed tool in order to release the clips. Slide the trim panel upward to disengage mounting hooks. Remove the trim panel from the liftgate.

I have a 2010 F150 Supercrew and the rear driver side door won’t unlock and won’t open. It started where the door wouldn’t lock / unlock with the remote (you had to manual lock and unlock it) and then one day it wouldn’t unlock and won’t open from inside or outside.
