The wheel sensors are where I would look next. If the wires are broken, shorted, etc. then the ABS won’t function correctly. BTW, the pulsing is the ABS unit kicking in to prevent brake lock-up probably because it senses a locked wheel (hence the wheel sensor) incorrectly.

My ABS light was on but no code any where. First, you need to know how to get ABS codes out of the computer. This will tell you what’s going on. More then likely it is a rear axle. From there, go to that axle and swap the wiring side to side (put right side wiring on left sensor, and left sensor on right side wiring).

Paper work says the sensor was replaced per bulletin PIT3460J. Truck was throwing code C0040. They also replaced the exciter ring due to finding a low spot.
