Why is my driver side airconditioner not working?
There is only one a/c and only one temperature of air comming from the a/c coils. What could be happening, and I think this would be rather rare, is that the “doors” in the system that direct air flow are not operating properly on the driver side. ie. they are in the fresh are or ambient air mode.

Yes, there is a separate set of coils for the back, but these make no difference on the temperature on the drivers side vs the passenger side. Checked heater valve cable on the engine and the drivers air mix motor. ok. Used HDS and checked for Body/AC DTC’s.

I suspect the cold air coming out of the passenger side is plenty cold, which would not be possible with a freon leak. Before bringing it into the shop, check out the driver’s side air mix motor.

If you’re getting cold air out either side of the dash, it’s not a Freon leak. Take off the trim panel under the dashboard and watch the motor’s action while cycling the temp from hot to cold. If the motor doesn’t move, it’s likely the motor that’s defective. Pray it’s not the a/c control head.

Repairs for this problem = A/C compressor, orifice tube and drier replaced about 1 year ago. The problem I have is that when you turn the ac on the cool air only comes out the 2 vents on the passenger side. The 2 vents on the drivers side have warm air blowing out.
