Do you have a key fob for a Honda CRV?
Not open for further replies. This is probably a dumb question because this old timer is having a hard time wrapping his aging brain around the new technology. I purchased a new 2021 CR-V two days ago. I am the type who is constantly losing and misplacing things. I always kept two keys with me for my old CR-V, the master and the valet.

Click to expand… I’m not aware of any “valet key”. If I needed such I would lock my phaser and communicator in the glove box, take the key and give the now keyless fob to the valet parker. If you look VERY carefully you will see that your two fobs are not identical. One is “Driver 1” and the other is “Driver 2”.

I AM A HONDA TECHNICIAN. FROM WHAT I FOUND WITH A CAR THAT HAD A SIMILAR PROBLEM, THE ANTI- KEY LOCK OUT CAN BE OVERRIDDEN. ONE KEY CANNOT LOCK ITSELF IN. IF YOU HAVE A SECOND FOB AND LOCK THE DOORS WITH THE FIRST FOB IN THE CAR THE SECOND FOB OVERRIDES THE FIRST KEY’S PRESENCE.
