Why is the Regen process not working on my diesel truck?
The diesel tech did not re-connect the CTS after he completed the repairs – probably a “GM thing”. P2463 came back up Monday when I was driving the truck. Brought it in this morning (Tuesday). Hopefully will hear back tomorrow with good news!
How can I tell if my Regen process is not working?
If I stop the vehicle the regen will restart when exhaust temps come up and it will stop at about 2-4 grams of soot. Regen temps are also measured as a way of telling if the injector is working. If it calls for a regen and the temps don’t come up I think a message will be displayed or a code thrown.

What’s the issue with the Regen process not working?
The Edge CTS has helped me monitor the engine and with a recent #2 NOX ssensor issue. I provided the codes to the dealer and what I expected the problem to be. Can a GMC Duramax be run in Park?
They make it clear of the danger by making user read through several yes and no screens, a couple of them stress that the hood must be open and the truck must be away from anything flammable. From what I could figure out the truck has to be in park and the run time varies depending upon how clogged the DPF is.
