Is it possible to eliminate the TSM on a bike?
This modification is for 04’+ TSMs only! Thanks for pointing that out “River Runner”! The last couple weeks I’ve been asked a few times if it is possible to totally eliminate the turn signal module on the bike. So today I did some playin’ around on my bike to try and see what it would take. First of all, let me start by saying two things.
Where is the TSSM located on a bike?
The factory security system is contained within the Turn Signal Module (TSM), which becomes a Turn Signal Security Module (TSSM) when it is so equipped. If you are disabling the TSSM (do NOT want a security system on your bike) then you have a TSSM installed now, HD p/n 68924-07.
How to replace a bad TSSM on a 02 FLHR?
1. Be sure the ignition has been OFF for 15 seconds or more before starting the procedure. 2. Set Run/Off switch to RUN. 3. Turn ignition key on, do not start. Verify that the Check Engine Light and Security Light come on, and wait for them to go out.

How to learn the password for the TSM ECM?
11Quickly (within 2 seconds) turn Ignition key OFF-ON Security Lamp light and then turn off. Lamp will not be on for TC88 TSM models. 12Turn Ignition switch OFF. Wait 15 seconds. Turn Ignition switch ON and start engine to confirm the Password Learn Procedure is successful. Engine will start and remain running.

What happens if I Disconnect the turn signal module ( TSM )?
Since there is an ECM password relearn procedure when a new TSM/TSSM/HFSM is installed I am assuming that if you disconnect a TSSM/HFSM the ECM will prevent the bike from running.
Where to place a jumper on a TSM?
To do this, you would place a jumper between the start relay control (position #9) and the ground wire (position #12). Or if you remove the connector that plugs into the TSM altogether, you would just hard wire the start relay control wire to the ground wire.
