Is the p003a still running on my truck?
For the past few days my truck has been kicking P003A and only P003A at me. The turbo vane position sensor was replaced ~20k miles ago by a dealer and it has a white wire lead. The truck is still running great.

Why is my p003a turbo code unfixable?
Finally I gave in and let them pull the new turbo. We sent it back to BD and they sent us a different one. They installed it and it still had the same problem. Then they said it was the vein position sensor so they put in another new one. Still did’nt fix it. Then they said it was a ground fault in the PCM so they replaced that. Still didnt fix it.

P2563 and P003A are common engine codes amongst 2004.5 to 2016 Duramax turbo engines which us variable geometry Garrett turbochargers. While not covered in my post, this tends to be a most common problem for LLY Duramax’s compared to later years.
