The only fix is to power off the radio and turn it back on. This would fix the problem sometimes for as long as 40-50miles and sometimes for only a couple miles. This continued all fall, and I finally broke down and found a used radio from a 2013 Street Glide. I had the radio installed and finally I was back to no radio problems…..I thought.

Why does the radio stop playing on my Harley Davidson?
As I ride down the road playing either an ipod hook up or just the radio, it will simply stop playing music. If I turn the radio system off, wait a few seconds and turn it back on, it resumes playing the radio or ipod. It will last a little bit and then shut off yet again.
