Pull out the new car stereo to gain access to the wires again. Look for a blue wire on the aftermarket head unit and ensure that it’s connected to a corresponding wire within your vehicle’s wire harness. The Blue or Blue/White wire on your aftermarket head unit is what powers a powered antenna.
Can a car have lights but no starter?
As 2002c230 notes, you can have lights but no starter. Call mb roadside assist (I think you may still have access, they just changed the rules) and they’ll come out and try to jump it properly.
So the car doesn’t start. The engine doesn’t make any noise. The headlights do come on. The dashboard lights that normally come on when you try to start it up (the check engine light, the airbag light etc., also do not come on at any point.
