Why does my Honda CRV make a buzzing noise when I shut it off?
We hear the same thing when we shut off our 2017 Honda CRV. Sounds like a buzzing noise coming from under rear end. We start the vehicle and it shuts off. We just started hearing this around 11,000 miles. We never noticed it before. Does anybody know what is causing the noise? Should we be concerned? Yep, it’s normal.

I am not sure if its these tires or lack of sound deadening material on the vehicle. Any one else have a similar experience? (I plan on installing sound-deadening material at some point)

I had the exact same thing happen. Went into the garage where the car had been parked for hours. Heard that sound and determined it was coming from the rear. Went to get my phone to record it, but it had stopped by the time I got back.

2004 Honda CR-V is a really nice first car, also a nice family car. I haven’t had any problems with it so far other than the recall on my airbags. It gets great miles to the gallon, has excellent a/c and heating. The only other issue I have had with it was the fuel pump, but my warranty covered everything. My interesting Honda cRV.
