it will beep when any door, tailgate or hood is ajar. If all your doors are closed then something is wrong. if you leave one of the doors open and walk away, it will beep.

Try this…Hold the button on the rear hatch just above the license plate. Hold it till the automatic opening stops. Now you should have control. Only problem is that the hatch likes to be completely open or almost closed…finicky. Now I haven’t tried this driving yet, but would like to know the outcome.

The post refers to when the tailgate is open, hauling wood, or kayaks. The module is way up in the interior of the vehicle. Need to remove seats, and paneling to get to it.
