Re: Front Diff Leaking.. If it’s fluid like and not grease like then I’d say the axle shaft seal is going bad. If it’s more grease like then I’d say it’s coming from the CV joint. If it’s on the case like in the pic I’d lean towards the seal being bad.

Why is diff fluid leaking from the front of my truck?
I stopped for gas and noticed some fluid leaking from the front of the truck. I popped the hood and there is diff fluid all over the place around the top of the vent tube. The tube does have the plastic vent in it. The truck did this before right after I changed the diff fluid for the first time.
