How long has my Silverado Sierra been running?
We have had it for about 9 mos and put about 7k on it. Last week it started randomly stalling/dying, most times starting right back up. Then it died on my son and wouldn’t start. NO engines popping up. When I got to it I tried to go through the basics of troubleshooting- Turned on key to listen for fuel pump, pump came on.

In my Tahoe case of start then dies I had two wires corroded on cooling fans relay block and on ECM, PCM and BCM fuse line in engine fuse block. now starts and doesn’t overheat now. The fan relay block sits behind engine fuse block accessable by removing the whole cover not just lid. Start a new Chevrolet Silverado 1500 question.

Why does my GMC Truck die at idle when warm?
So I wasn’t suspicious of fuel pressure, then later checked it and I have a steady 10psi from the moment I turn the key until a few seconds after it dies so the fuel pump is good. It runs strong and is fine until I idle. This happens only when the engine is warm and last time I checked it never went into closed loop.

Turns out that the wiring harness to the ECM had fallen down onto the motor, melted the loom, and shorted the ECM out occassionally. It only took 9 months to figure this out, but it did the trick. It was extremely frustrating as it would run like a champ one day, and die the next.

I think you have water in the fuel. Whenever I remove a fuel filter, I dump the contents onto a bench or glass jar and look at it. Remove a fuel line and get a fuel sample. It could also be a IAC issue or a gummed up throttle body. Might try and clean the throttle body and iac.

What should I do if my Silverado engine dies?
Update as of today: 1) the truck hasn’t started and kept running since last week. It only starts right up, then dies immediately. 2) I got a fuel pressure tester and the pressure is at 53 with key on, and maintains pressure when it starts (then dies).
