If the fuse is good pull out the driver side master window switch and check if the purple wire has power which supplies power to both switches. There could be a break where it goes into the door before it reaches the window switch. The fuse and purple wire are the power sources, not the solder joint.

11 people found this helpful. 1995 4Runner – found out the hard way that the grease inside the wiper motor in the area with the control surfaces will melt and gradually accumulate in the lower part of the unit. Eventually the grease will cause the contact to lift and window won’t go down even when moving the wiper to the docking spot.

I suspect the relay has failed or the master power window switch, which provides the ground to the control side of the power window relay, has failed. You’ll need to check the relay and the relay terminals. The problem could be the relay, the master power window switch or the ground to the power window master switch.
