What happens when you Prime a Duramax Diesel?
It starts and runs really good for a few weeks or so after each fuel filter change then wont even start at all til i prime it and bleed it. Hope the new injectors fix this problem!

When the key is turned on the fuel pump only gets 2 seconds of power, so if the line pressure is at zero there isn’t enough run time to pressurize the fuel system. Cycling the key a few times forces the pump to run for 6 seconds instead of just 2 and this will pressurize the system and allow for a quick start

What to do if you lose prime in fuel system?
Dump the factory filter and replace with Nick’s underhood Cat setup. When you order the Cat filter and adapter also order a filter head rebuild kit which replaces the o-rings. Did you find the recommended reading relevant to this discussion?

Do you need adii for GMC Duramax 06?
You don’t have to get a ADII because the 06 doesnt have the injector issues the LB7’s do. You could get a liftpump without filters, like the Kennedy pump, or Holley pump, or Raptor… Stay away from PPE their pump is junk.
