What is a sogea line?
SOGEA stands for Single Order Generic Ethernet Access. It enables providers to order broadband without a phone line – so you’ve got everything you need within a single order.
What is the difference between FTTC and sogea?
SOGEA only offers a broadband data service, whereas FTTC gives you data and voice. The hosted phone system runs over your data connection, which can be extremely fast when using SOGEA, allowing you to have telephone services without the need of a telephone line.
Can I get sogea?
SOGEA is available wherever fibre broadband was available. Meaning if you currently can get or already have fibre broadband you should be able to get SOGEA.

What is SoGEA Broadband (SoGEA)? BT Openreach are now delivering a single order version of Fibre Broadband and GFast Fibre Broadband that means you or the provider do not have to install a traditional copper phone line to compliment the service. SoGEA includes an underlying version of a phone line.

Is sogea G fast?
SOGFast is a faster version of SOGEA. For some customers we can use a special side pod on the street cabinet to boost speeds over short distances. That means you can offer them ultrafast speeds of up to 330Mbps.
Is sogea a VDSL?
SoGEA stands for Single Order Generic Ethernet Access, this is VDSL2 service without analogue telephone service.
Is sogea a copper?
SOGEA is a broadband only version of the current FTTC product. It uses the same technology as FTTC, but without the voice service. SOGEA is a part fibre/part copper service. The use of copper in the delivery of SOGEA means that the distance from exchange has an impact on the speeds likely to be seen on the service.
