My 08 Denali has electrical gremlins. Randomly, the entire electrical system will shut down while the vehicle is parked. First indication of a problem is the remote key fob will not unlock the doors. No dome lights, no dash lights, no clicking of the starter solenoid…nothing. Then, when it feels like it…it repairs itself.

I love my 2001 Yukon xl Denali with over 130,000 miles but having some starting problems. The initial problem was taking several tries to start, when after it seemed a clog was cleared and the engine banged loudly once it would clear and start and be ok for the rest of the day, but a little more difficult in colder weather.

Checked the harness at the body to gate joint and found no signs of wear or chaffing of wires and no loose connections. Took the Envoy on a 1000 mile trip this weekend, temps in the 40’s in the morning and 70’s in the afternoon with rain over night.

Issues now the dealer has not been able to rectify after numerous trips to them. Traction Active engages randomly even though unit is not slipping causing no power and just revs, not good when taking a left at a light! Have to take foot off of gas.
