What should I do if my Duramax engine wont start?
With the engine OFF, loosen fuel filter assembly plastic bleed screw a turn or so, and depress the round priming pump on top of FF assembly until fuel squires out of vent. CAREFULLY close plastic vent nut with fingers or nutdriver. Depress pump until firm. Barely finger tight with nutdriver is all you need.

Where is the bleed valve on a Duramax?
Don’t use the little brass fitting to bleed air. Unless there’s something different on the newer trucks that I don’t know about, that is a fuel pressure test port, not a bleed valve. By pressing that valve, you are allowing air into the high pressure fuel rails. The only air bleed valve is the screw on top of the fuel filter housing.

I have a 2015 2500 High Country with 45k Miles. I was in line at a drive through and the lady asked me to turn off my engine cause she couldn’t understand my order. I did and when i tried to start it back just turns over but wont start. Pushed it to a parking place and notice diesel coming from the fuel filter where the water seperator screws in.

How can I tell if my starter is faulty?
Since you do not have a tester to test the electrical at the fuse or starter then this should be done by someone that does or a shop or dealer to verify it is the starter at fault.From what is described and with what has been checked here most likely the starter is faulty needing replaced.
