What to do if your injection pump is not working?
The first step to take when you realize something is wrong with your injection pump is to clean it and tune it. If that does not solve your problem, try restructuring it. You can replace it if the other two options don’t solve the problem. And as a last resort, you can visit a service center.
Can a diesel fuel pump injector be clogged?
Diesel fuel pump injectors are high-precision components. They also deal with a tremendous amount of motion and other stresses. One small visitor inside (a piece of dust, debris, etc.) can clog the injector. Worse yet, a microscopic object can leave the injector open all the time. If the injector can’t close, cylinder performance is compromised.

Replaced fuel tank and fuel filter and tried to prime system. No fuel to injectors. Took pump off and resealed and cleaned pump. Reinstalled on tractor can get good fuel supply to prime port on pump but, no fuel to injectors. Fuel shut off valve was stuck, but cleaned and now moves freely.
Why is there no fuel in the injectors?
The tractor in question has not been started for three years. It is quite common for the components of a stood injection pump to seize.
