I`m with BigBert, on the KR clutch. If your moving reverse when in forwards gears, the KR clutch is stuck on from being warped.

They might have been a good machine when they were in production. Now they are a mess that takes more work to keep them running than what you will get accomplished using the machine. If you have time and lots of mechanical experience it will be an expensive hobby. If you are on the down hill side of fifty you better be in great shape.
