Why do I get Water Under my carpet?
Am getting water underneath carpet passengers side front and back, started a couple of months ago all seals on windows doors are okay. When it rains then have the problem, remove plugs under sill to drain water, about a litre of water each time. Carpets permanently wet/damp.
Is there rain water in the driver footwell?
The garage said the scuttle was ok and the door and roof seals are all fine. My water levels aren’t dropping so its definitely rain water. They sprayed the car with a hose pipe for 1hr but no water seemed to get in. However, when the car drove off then suddenly water starts to leak into driver footwell.
Where does the water come from in the footwell?
I sprayed water on the windscreen and all around the passenger door to see if there was any clue where the water was coming from, but couldn’t see water coming into the footwell anywhere. Most likely culprit is still the windscreen seal, but can’t see where.
What to do if water runs out of your footwell?
Under the door sills there are quite a few rubber bungs. Pull a couple out and see if water runs out. Quite a few people have had problems with the sills filling with water, its happened with my Astra, if yours are full it may be seeping into the footwell.

Why is the footwell of my Honda Civic wet?
End Nov 12 I noticed the carpet was damp in front of passenger seat but not further up into footwell. Checked carpet was dry around pollen filter (also dry) and passenger doors, that water was draining from outside of windscreen to under car, and air con draining as usual under car.
