Why does my GMC key not open the door?
No clicking or sound of any kind…just nothing…the key operates the ignition, but not the only door lock. Any one know the reason why GMC decided to only put one door lock on the entire vehicle?

Thanks for your help. It is a 2006 Envoy XL Denali 4×4 5.3L V8. Likely a rod or two that actuates the lock inside the door has came loose / broke it’s clips. Need to pull the door panel to confirm. One door lock key slot because that’s all that’s needed…until it breaks.

I attempt to unlock using the door button, still no response (other that the electrical “clicking” under the dash). I attempt to unlock with the key fob, no response. At this point, I am forced to manually unlock any door that I need to open.

Like the title reads, I have been experiencing internittent locking/unlocking issues with all doors. Scenario: I pull into the driveway and place the car in park (at this point, I expect the doors to unlock) the doors do not unlock.
