Why does my GMC Sierra heater not shut off?

Why does my GMC Sierra heater not shut off?

I have a 2003 GMC Sierra and just today when I shut my vehicle off I noticed the heater was still moving air. At first I thought this might be normal and it would shut off after a slight delay. However, once I pushed the power button on the heater the blower still continued to run.

When to replace the blower motor control module?

Why is my GM A / C blower not shutting off?

Customers may comment that the A/C blower only operates on high or repeat blower resistor failures. Cause is a mis-positioned harness from the blower motor assembly to the right I/P fuse block C4 causing harness rub through at right I/P metal support.

Is the fan speed set or intermittent on a Silverado Sierra?

Just the blower is intermittent, not the compressor. Fan speed does not have set speeds, it’s more like a rheostat. It has the rotary control.

Can a Silverado blower stay on with the key off?

The HVAC blower in this 2003 Silverado stays on speed 5 even with the key off. Here’s how to turn speed 5 of the blower off (while keeping speeds 1-4) and hopefully this will save you from replacing the battery. NOTE: GM issued a special coverage policy for this problem which covers the repair for 10 years or 150k miles, whichever comes first.

Why is my Silverado Sierra blowing cold air?

After fiddling with the controls a bit I gave up and rolled the windows down. About five minutes later it was eating at me so I switched the control from off to max and the fan kicked on like it was supposed to and was blowing cold air.

Why does my blower not come on when I start my truck?

Since then, every once in a while I notice that the fan doesn’t come on when I start the truck, or if it does it’s very weak, so I crank it to max, the fan blows noticeably, then I turn it down to a more reasonable setting.
