Why does the engine light go on when DEF is low?
I am thinking there is something wrong with one of the DEF sensor in the tank or somewhere else but want to check with you guys if it make sense to you or not if the engine light goes on when DEF is very low and you can’t access the exhaust menu in the dashboard? Thank you for your help.

The error code when the Check Engine Light is on is P21b0 for reductant level sensor C circuit high. does it qualify for the recall program 18M01 “reductant heater and sender assembly failure” ?

So Friday I had the “Diesel Exhaust Fluid Quality Poor Message” pop up on the dash with a 100 mile warning. I restarted the truck with no warning. I drove about 25 miles and the “Low DEF” message came on.
