Why does the radio work but no sound?
The radio seems to work, I can pick stations etc, turn volume up and down, but there is never any sound that comes out of the speakers Any ideas what could be wrong? maybe an amplifier fuse somewhere? I looked at the mirror/audio and woofer fuses under the dash, they are both good Is this the BOSE version or Standard?

But the fact that the rear speaker would come on at all suggests that the radio is not going into protection mode, but that there connections to the speaker are bad. Although it is possible for the wiring to the speakers to fail, it is not likely, especially to more than one door.

The odds of both speaker amps failing at exactly the same time are very low. The odds of a common power supply failure, mute signal miscue, etc. are much greater. Verify your fuses behind the radio, and in the vehicles fuse panels as well. Replace any blown fuses and see if the radio kicks on and produces sound.

Where does the sound from the radio come from?
No sound from turn signals and radio out. The turn signal noise comes from the tweeters which is the same place that the voice from movies comes from…point being i’ve had continuos problems with the sound going out during movies…try pressing the band button on the radio and dvd/cd button alternatly when the turn signal “noise” goes out.

You need a new stereo IMO. Speakers are prob fine. Check ebay .. there is even a guy selling them with aux ports modified into them.. slowly losing my sanity..

You need a new stereo IMO. Speakers are prob fine. Check ebay .. there is even a guy selling them with aux ports modified into them.. slowly losing my sanity..
