Why is the drivers side of my Chevy Tahoe stuck down?
Looking for some advice, I’ve got an 08 Denali and the drivers side is stuck in the down position. I can hear the motor running a cycle when you close the door but the board will not lift up. Any suggestions??? You must log in or register to reply here.

Some power running boards are stuck (in cold weather) due to lack of lubrication. Shoot WD-40 to free up stuck joints. Power running boards are locked from the factory to the dealership, this is how to unlock them as part of dealer prep. Open all front and rear doors.

Mostly running board will not come out and when you close the door, you can hear the motor run to pull back in as if it were out. Let me know if you get a fix, mine is out of manufacture warranty, I have extended warranty but don’t know if it is covered. I have the same problem with both sides intermittently.

Close all doors. Open the left front or left rear door and the running board on the left side should articulate out. Close the left front or left rear door and the running board should articulate in. Open right front or right rear door and the running board on the right should articulate out.

Are there any problems with the GMC Yukon Denali?
Issues now the dealer has not been able to rectify after numerous trips to them. Traction Active engages randomly even though unit is not slipping causing no power and just revs, not good when taking a left at a light! Have to take foot off of gas.

After it was replaced, the power running boards do not work any more. I have tried switching them on and off. When the battery was replaced, the power running board switch was in the off position. Did you check the fuse? Yes, Sorry I did forget to mention that I replaced the 30A fuse.
