How are engine codes p2493 and p24c4 related?
P2493 & P24C4 DTC Definitions not found Are these all related? I don’t even understand what the heck that means, other than maybe the Regulator is faulty. Second time in two weeks the Service Engine light came on. OBD2 states $7E*, $7EA & $7EE SO I cleared them all and deleted the codes. I guess next time it’s off to the dealer??

About a week and a half goes by and the CEL pops back on. I run down to the auto zone and get the codes read, P2495 (Exhaust Gas recirculation (EGR) cooler bypass flap position sensor. bank 1 circuit high) and P0406 (Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor A Circuit High).

Is there a problem with the EGR valve?
Codes are still stored but can’t find any real problem, connectors to the EGR cooler and EGR valve are inspected and look clean and CEL is still off. A week later CEL is again back on and this time idle is very rough and engine eventually stalls.

That definition you gave may be correct, but does not do much for the understanding of somebody that has no inside knowledge of GMC codes and DURAMAX issue resolution. But thanks any way.
